World Rhino Day is celebrated on September 22nd every year. It is a day that serves as a global platform to unite non-governmental organisations (NGOs), stakeholders, and concerned citizens from around the world to raise awareness and collect funds for the conservation of the five endangered rhinoceros species. Sadly, these majestic creatures continue to face grave threats due to the rampant illegal rhino horn trade in South Africa.

To shed light on the ongoing efforts to protect this endangered species, prominent journalist Dan Moyane from ENCA News interviewed Lourens Leeuwner of the Endangered Wildlife Trust ahead of World Rhino Day to share more about the efforts the EWT is taking to tackle the illegal trade of rhino horn and how the EWT’s collaboration with Relate Bracelets helps to raise funds for the EWT’s comprehensive conservation programmes.
