This November, while much of the world turned to fast consumerism for Black Friday, Wellness Warehouse chose a more meaningful path, one that prioritised its core value of sharing wellness for the good of people and planet.
As part of its 2025 Green Friday initiative, Wellness Warehouse invested over R120 000 into organisations delivering real impact across South Africa. Support extended to Relate Bracelets, Earthchild Project, and Greenpop, and we are proud to have been part of this value-led campaign.
Relate Bracelets and Earthchild Project: Empowering Women and Uplifting Young Learners
At Relate, our purpose is to create sustainable income opportunities for senior women (“gogos”) and young artisans while raising funds for high-impact causes. One of those causes is the Earthchild Project, an organisation bringing yoga, mindfulness, and environmental education to children in under-resourced Cape Town schools.
Together, Relate and Earthchild Project create a powerful cycle of empowerment, supporting both the artisans who bead our bracelets and the young people who benefit from the programmes we help fund.
How Wellness Warehouse Invested in Impact
As part of Green Friday, Wellness Warehouse made a significant contribution to our organisations:
- R69 000 in Relate bracelets, purchased for retail, allowing Wellness Warehouse customers to be part of the impact too.
- R52 000 reinvested into the Relate model to sustain a dignified income for the gogos and young artisans who craft our bracelets.
- R17 000 channelled directly to Earthchild Project through the sale of the bracelets
- And a further R30 000 donated directly by Wellness Warehouse to the Earthchild Project
These limited-edition Earthchild Project x Relate bracelets are currently available at Wellness Warehouse till points across South Africa, extending the impact beyond the campaign itself.
What This Support Makes Possible
For Relate and Our Gogos
At Relate, every bracelet begins with the steady hands and generous spirit of a township senior, a Gogo. For this Green Friday campaign 140 Gogos and 5 young adult crafters earned a dignified income, each purchase representing opportunity, pride, and financial independence.

For Earthchild Project
The donated funds to the Earthchild Project will fund a full year of weekly yoga and environmental education classes for 67 learners. This provides consistent access to movement, mindfulness, emotional support, and environmental awareness, essential tools for nurturing resilience and wellbeing in young people navigating challenging circumstances.

Restoring Natural Spaces and Strengthening Communities
Furthering its impact, Wellness Warehouse pledged R32 000 to Greenpop’s Living Landscapes Project to revitalise urban and peri-urban spaces through ecological restoration, indigenous planting, and community stewardship. This year, their work with Alex Water Warriors, a grassroots group restoring waterways and rehabilitating wetlands in Alexandra township, stood at the heart of Wellness Warehouse’s environmental support.
Purpose in Action
We are deeply grateful to Wellness Warehouse for choosing to retail, partner, and invest with intention. Their Green Friday initiative shows what social retail can achieve when aligned with purpose, uplifting women, empowering young learners, and restoring our natural world.
Together, we didn’t just celebrate Green Friday.
We made it matter.
