While she is not a breast cancer survivor herself, our next #FaceOfBreastCancer is Karen Venter who spends her days taking care of accounts and administration for the Breast Health Foundation.

“I enjoy the environment and it’s wonderful to see the difference my colleagues make in people’s lives,” says Karen, having worked for the organisation since 2012.

Her advice to people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer is to visit a breast specialist as soon as possible.

You can show your support for cancer survivors by purchasing a Breast Health Foundation Relate bracelet in selected Woolworths stores nationwide.

The Breast Health Foundation was established in 2002 with the primary focus of education on breast cancer and breast health – to increase awareness, and empower South Africans. Volunteers and staff, all of whom are breast cancer survivors themselves, provide first-hand knowledge and expertise to promote education and treatment for breast cancer and provide emotional and informative support to all affected by the disease.
