Ntokozo Dludla is an avid palliative care worker and counselor, who strives to make sure breast cancer patients get the best care possible. She is the #FaceOfBreastCancer.
As a breast cancer survivor herself, Ntokozo knows that cancer can be dark and gloomy, but believes there is always light at the end of the tunnel: “My work is about supporting people to live their lives despite sometimes end-of-life diagnosis. I became a social worker to support people to live their lives as fully as possible despite limitations.”
Ntokozo’s daily duties include assessment, counselling, liaising with local resources and agencies, training with development activities, and staff support. Although the work can admittedly be emotionally draining, she loves her job!
