There’s nothing that the COSMO fashion team loves more than fashion that’s for a good cause. And YDE is running an exciting charity initiative, using fashion to fight against HIV/AIDS.

To help fight the fight against HIV/AIDS, YDE is selling ‘Relate bracelets’ at R35.00 across all 19 stores in South Africa. Relate is a non-profit social project that focuses on creating life-changing opportunities for individuals in need. All proceeds made from the sale will be donated towards the various causes involved in producing the bracelets, as well as YDE’s chosen charity, PATA. A portion of the proceeds will go to Relate, to assist in the development of the skills and enterprise involved in making the bracelets and to cover the cost of the materials.

YDE has identified PATA (Paediatric AIDS Treatment for Africa) as the organisation to receive the remainder of the proceeds from the sales. The money raised will go towards assisting the renovations and refurbishments of SA HIV clinics within the PATA network. The aim is to transform these clinics into more child friendly, cheerful and inviting environments. PATA has a total of 35 SA Paediatric HIV service clinics in its network, which care for approximately 27,800 HIV-infected children.

The great thing about this initiative is that its simple and easy to support and we can all contribute to improving the lives of South African HIV-infected children with just R35. And what’s even better is that these bracelets can be purchased atANY one of YDE’s 19 stores across the country.
