UN HCR LuQuLuQu Tribe

Social Objective:

The LuQuLuQu Tribe is an Africa wide social movement created by the United Nations Refugee Agency to change the narrative of the African refugee. The LuQuLuQu Tribe inspires individuals to take ownership of shaping the narrative of Africa’s displacement.

The initiative is made up of the best of humanity – a collective of like-minded people that support families forced to flee their homes because of violence and conflict.

The Foundation:

The UN HCR LuQuLuQu Tribe strives to change the narrative of the African refugee. This means redirecting the perception away from the refugee narrative of victim, burden, or even threat and instead highlight the resilience, courage and potential of people forced to flee.
